Goals
To advance the shared goals and objectives in service of Pillar One: Student Success and Opportunity, IU will:
- Ensure the accessibility and affordability of an IU degree through careful stewardship of resources and the expansion of endowed financial aid and student support.
- Contribute to strengthened statewide postsecondary attainment rates through targeted expansion of enrollment, growth in student retention, and improvement in on-time graduation rates.
- Guarantee robust access to career preparation and academic advising for all IU students, including the significant expansion of high-impact experiential and career-related student experiences.
- Provide consistently relevant academic programs and offerings that equip students for academic, professional, and career success within an increasingly diverse and globally connected economy.
Metrics and markers of progress
Markers of IU’s progress against its goals and objectives will include:
- Increasing on-time undergraduate graduation rates.
- Strengthening undergraduate first-to-second-year retention rates.
- Improving graduate student retention, completion rates, and time to completion within graduate programs.
- Increasing philanthropic support for endowed financial aid to support student access and affordability.
- Increasing student participation rates within high-impact experiential and career-related student experiences, including internship experiences, research, and scholarly and creative activity.
- Increasing online enrollment in academic programs, including career-aligned certificates, and micro-credentials.
